Book Review by Swami Suddhananda
Occasionally great things come to us in small packages. This book is a big gem in a small number of pages. Transformative Love answers the questions we all ask in loving one another. How do I find true love? What if my partner is not that into me? How do I stay intimate with my partner? What if I am not getting what I want? These and other key issues in love - are addressed in plain, clear language. There are simple and fun activities for partners to do together. Finally there are chapters dealing with loss of love and self-love, two parts of loving where most of us need support. The simplicity of the teachings and practical advice in this little book make it easy for anyone to pick up and use. A great guide for anyone wanting love, anyone in a relationship and anyone recovering from the loss of a relationship.
Book Review by Amy C. Potter
Transformative Love is an easy read and well worth it. My concept of Love was challenged and broadened by reading this book. It has practical suggestions about choosing, being in, and building relationships. It also connects relationships with deeper threads of life and meaning-particularly about loving- that ground relationships in our broader lives and life journeys, rather than seeing them as isolated segments of our lives. If we really get what the author is writing about, we will not only have healthy relationships, but we’ll love and value ourselves and our connection with a force of love much more powerful than can come from any one person.
Book Review by John Newcomb
Transformative Love is one of the most helpful books on relationships I have ever read. It really spoke to me. It gives great advise on how to choose a partner, create intimacy, work through anger, and heal wounds between partners. A great part of the book is that it gives exercises that you can do with a partner to build trust and intimacy. To anyone who is looking to heal the separation they feel from a partner or who would like to become closer, I would highly recommend this book.
